We recently attend the Foundation workshop for the 4th year in a row and naturally it was a great experience! FW5 is a workshop for wedding photographers who want to learn to see things in a different way. Run by award winner photojournalists with a staff made up of some of the best wedding photographers on the planet (some even Pulitzer prize winning photojournalists turned wedding photographers) this workshop is tops in content and experience. Each participant has an assignment to document over 2-3 days of shooting, and their team leads and shooting coaches go over their images and give them tips on what they need to do to capture the stories in front of them. The progression is amazing.
We were so happy to see some familiar faces, friends that we've made over the past few years during the workshop and of course we were inspired beyond belief with the imagery displayed by the participants this year. We're happy to have taken part again, as we always learn more than we thought possible, and come away with a sense of excitement and looking forward to our next wedding.
Check out the
Foundation Workshop 5 website and blog for more info and to see the awesome photos that everyone made from their assignments.
We can't wait for next year to do it all again.
